Bilateral Relaxation Therapy 1 Day  Workshop

Self-Generated Therapy for Mind and Body.  Learn this powerful technique and change your life.

Bilateral Relaxation is a method of producing deeply relaxed, peaceful states of mind and body, and can accurately be viewed as both a form of relaxation and a form of meditation.

Bilateral Relaxation Therapy Technique engages mind and body in deep relaxation, reversing the stress response (switching off the "Fight or Flight response"). The resulting altered state of consciousness allows spontaneous, often subtle, psychological and physiological changes – known as the autogenic process, which is a unique experience for each person.

Bilateral Relaxation Therapy is a safe, simple drug-free technique to help:

  • reduce or manage recurring stress-related symptoms e.g. sleep problems, anxiety, mild depression, fatigue, asthma, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), high blood pressure, chronic pain
  • increase general confidence and well-being
  • increase energy and creativity
  • improve performance in sport, music, theatre, classroom, boardroom
  • reduce the likelihood of serious illness in the future
  • naturally support our innate healing mechanisms

Bilateral Relaxation Therapy is based on the premise that all the internal health-enhancing processes needed to rebalance body and mind are already in place, just waiting to be accessed and used.

While there is still a lot to learn about this amazing process, it can be said that it produces four main effects;

  1. A relaxation effect including decreased physiological arousal.
  2. An increased attentional flexibility (meaning that your thoughts become less ‘stuck’ on whatever was bothering you.
  3. Distancing effect (meaning that the problem seems smaller and further away).
  4. Decreased worry.

This is a half day workshop (4 hours).  Cost per person £40.  Venue in Swansea.  Practice audio disk and workbook included.  Minimum 10 persons.
